Ceramics Tea set by Shenyang Ligong University

The Harmony in humen with sky and land tea set, designed by Shenyang Ligong University, showcases the fusion of modern Chinese ceramic art with traditional Chinese culture. This unique design aims to interpret timeless eternity through Chinese architectural modeling and the use of classical elements.

The tea set features a three-dimensional shape that goes beyond our cognitive habits, reflecting the Chinese people's sense of righteousness in the tea ceremony. The calm and atmospheric design, with a circular handle and a square pot, symbolizes the traditional Chinese fitting between square and circle.

The ceramics tea set is made using a meticulous process. It starts with sculpting the artwork, followed by slicing and creating a sample mold. Gypsum is then used to make a larger mold, which is dried before the high-pressure forming process. The final product is carefully finished, including painting or decal application, before being baked to perfection.

Designed with a focus on Chinese tea culture, the Harmony in humen with sky and land tea set allows users to fully immerse themselves in the art of tea-making and tasting. It not only serves a functional purpose but also serves as a cultural symbol, representing the rich heritage of Chinese tea traditions.

The design team from Shenyang Ligong University, including Feng Chen, Chengyue Wang, Tong Zhang, Yuwei Guo, Wenshi Song, Sen Lin, Yang Ye, and Yu Xue, collaborated on this project. Their research and investigation into Chinese modern ceramics art, as well as the use of 3D printing technology, played a crucial role in the realization of this design.

The Harmony in humen with sky and land tea set was completed in January 2018 at Shenyang Ligong University. It has received recognition for its outstanding design, winning the Iron A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware, and Cookware Design category in 2018. This award is given to designs that demonstrate innovation, practicality, and adherence to professional and industrial requirements.
